The passages from the Bible at the end of this post painted a picture in my mind of the Kingdom to come inspiring me to create this collection.
A picture of peace between man, nation, animal, and land.
A place where God dwells with man, where there is no need for sun because He is light.
A place without strife, pain, sorrow, war, hunger, or death.
A place where all nations know the love of the one true living God and can't help but reciprocate that love back to Him collectively and unified.
Where God is known by all, worshipped by all, and all is in line with His good good ways.
I was inspired to create these pieces a while back but I didn't get around to it until a year or so later. It just so happened that I needed the hope of these truths more in this season anyways. It has been a doozy but it's put a deeper longing in my heart for the true King of the earth -Jesus- to return and establish His beautiful kingdom in full. A kingdom where babies don't die, the fear of death doesn't perpetually loom over us, we don't helplessly watch as life leaves those we love, and anxiety is but a distant distant memory.
I am absolutely convinced that life with the God of the Bible is true living. And a world surrendered to His kingship is Bliss. Because of that I pray "Come, Lord Jesus, Come." My prayer is that somehow these little art pieces would be a thin place where you can see and sense the beautiful heart of God for the world and for you.

Isaiah 2:2-4
It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the LORD
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and all the nations shall flow to it,
3 and many peoples shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 He shall judge between the nations,
and shall decide disputes for many peoples;
and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore.
Isaiah 11:6-9
The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;
and a little child shall lead them.
7 The cow and the bear shall graze;
their young shall lie down together;
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,
and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.
9 They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain;
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.
Revelation 21:3-4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.
He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and
God himself will be with them as their God.
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and
death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning,
nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have
passed away.”
